2008

The Rasmala MENA Equity Opportunity Fund, has been granted a "AA" rating by the world’s leading provider of independent credit ratings Standard and Poor’s. The opinion from Standard and Poor’s May 2008 report on the fund was as follows:  

"The team has produced a strong track record in comparison to both peers and the MSCI Arabian benchmark. In volatile markets it has been able to add value from asset allocation, while fund selection has been positive. Risk-adjusted returns have also been strong. Eric Swats and Khaled Masri have developed a sensibly constructed approach to investing in the region, backed by a suitably experienced team, allowing the fund to attain an S&P AA (New) rating."

2008

The Rasmala MENA Equity Opportunity Fund won the award of Best New Fund at the Hedge Funds World Middle East Awards, Dubai. The key criteria was to demonstrate:

• The quality and track record of the management team
• The Fund’s market penetration
• The Fund’s ability to service different types of investors
• Risk management processes
• A proven track record in raising capital and delivering performance

2007

Rasmala Investments won the award of Best Newcomer at the Hedge Funds World Middle East Awards, Dubai. The key criteria was to demonstrate:

• Fulfilling the needs of Middle East investors
(e.g. diversification, legal requirements, tax situation)
• Innovation (concerning structure, risk return targets or capital guarantee)
• Performance
• AUMs raised
